NationalCourt issues arrest warrants of Nayyar Bukhari

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A lower court of Islamabad on Thursday issued arrest warrants of former Chairman Senate and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Nayyar Hussain Bukhari in policeman thrashing case.

Judicial Magistrate Jawad Hussain Aadil heard a plea filed by Margalla police seeking arrest warrants of former Chairman Senate.

The police informed the court that a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against PPP leader for interfering the official work and there was a need of arrest warrants against him in the above case.

After hearing the arguments, the court issued arrest warrants of the accused.

Reportedly, Bukhari had misbehaved with a personnel of special branch and his private security guard thrashed him on Wednesday after he attempted to search former chairman senate before entering a court in Federal Capital’s F-8.

A case was lodged at Margalla Police Station against the accused under section 506/34 and 353/186. Earlier, Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police had also ordered to arrest former chairman Senate Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and his guard for slapping a policeman.
