ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Senate’s Special Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will meet in Islamabad tomorrow (Friday) to discuss the issues related to the project.

The meeting to be chaired by Senator Taj Haider will specifically discuss the progress till date on different sections of the agreed route, specifications of these sections as compared with the sections being built on eastern route, the time schedule for completion of the agreed route.

The committee will also discuss proposed budgetary allocations for CPEC in Annual Development Plan in next fiscal year and the plan, if any, to lay railway line along he agreed route, and proposed power plants on the agreed route to meet requirements of industrial zones.
