BANNU, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was claiming for a new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but he said he did not see it anywhere.

In his address at a public meeting in Bannu on Tuesday, he said that those chanting slogans for a new Pakistan could not deliver and bearing any change in their province.

The prime minister said that the masses should differentiate between those who are pursuing development agenda and those who are doing politics of anarchy and chaos.

Sharif said that they have no government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and but they will continue to serve the people of the province. He said that they have come to power with the mandate of the people and are not afraid of the hollow slogans and cheap tactics of their opponents.

The premier said that those who had blown trumpets of prosperity in the general elections of 2013, have done nothing for the development of the province.

The prime minister also said that present government has launched a number of mega development projects to make a new Pakistan.

In addition, the Prime Minister announced establishment of University in Lukki Marwat and industrial and economic zones in Bannu, saying that this will bring prosperity and provide employment opportunities.

Nawaz Sharif said that Baran Dam will be rehabilitated and capacity of the Bannu power plant will be enhanced. He announced rehabilitation and repair of Indus Highway.

The prime minister also announced that Bannu airport will be upgraded to international standard. He said that passport offices are being established in Karak and Lukki Marwat.

Sharif also announced a grant of Rs200 million for District and Tehsil councils of Bannu. He said that the internally displaced persons (IDPs) have sacrifices for peace in the country and work for their rehabilitation will be speeded up.

Referring to latest allegations against the present government, the prime minister said that the Supreme Court declared that no rigging had taken place in the general elections 2013 which was a slap on the face of those alleging for rigging. Now a days they are again putting allegations, he added.

The prime minister said that they again left the matter to the Supreme Court. He said that if a corruption of a single penny is proved against us, they will at once go home.

Talking about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will change the destiny of the region. He said that it will benefit the whole of the country including Bannu.

The prime minister reiterated that loadshedding will come to end in 2018. He said that the government is also focusing on provision of cheap electricity to the people.

Moreover, he said that power is being supplied to all the industries round the clock. He said that gas shortage will also be overcome.
