QUETTA, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday reached Quetta on a day-long visit during which he will launch the PM National Health Program and will also inaugurate several development projects worth billions of rupees.

Initially, the PM National Health Program will be launched in four districts of Balochistan including Quetta, Loralai, Turbat and Lasbela, and under it, 300,000 poor patients would avail free medical treatment.

The prime minister will also lay foundation stones of important projects in Quetta which include a project for the supply of gas to Inayatullah Karez Gulistan in District Qilla Abdullah, inauguration of a project for the supply of gas to Mastung, Qalat and adjoining areas, construction of an underpass on Brewary Road at Golimar Chowk in Quetta, construction of another underpass on Zarghoon Road in Quetta and Loralai-DG Khan electricity transmission.

The projects are aimed at meeting energy demand in the province and would generate employment opportunities.
