LAHORE: Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Najam Sethi dismissed several on-contract officers picked up during the previous government led by Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday.

The sacked officers include Kamran Lashari Director General Walled City Lahore Authority, Punjab Law Secretary Dr Syed Abul Hasan Najmi and Punjab Metro Bus Authority Managing Director Sibtain Fazl Aleem.

Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr.Rizwan Naseer, MD Forensic Lab Dr. Ashraf and Consultant Punjab Police Maj. (rted.) Mubashirullah have also been removed from their offices.

Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Anwer and Chairman Punjab Revenue Iftikhar Qutub have also been shown the door. All the sacked officers were appointed on contract basis during the government of Shahbaz Sharif.
