ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Advisor to the Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui on Thursday said hue and cry on the Terms of Reference (TORs) of Panama inquiry commission was without any reason.

He said that some elements were targeting Prime Minister with ulterior motives, though the name of Nawaz Sharif was not included in the Panama papers.

Talking to a TV show he said the whole scenario shows the issue was not the corruption but destabilizing the democratically elected government.

He said in the history of Pakistan nobody has presented himself and his family for the accountability.

Irfan Siddiqui said that earlier the opposition believed that the Prime Minister would not accept the demand of the commission comprising Supreme Court Judges.

He said that after inquiry commission now the opposition has started criticizing its TORs. He said that without evidence allegations are damaging their own image and trust in the eyes of the masses.

He said that the masses were well aware of the baseless propaganda by some elements, adding that the people have rejected these elements.

Irfan Siddiqui said that the Prime Minister took mass contact campaign decision to meet the masses and lead them. He said that Prime Minister would also bring in the knowledge of masses the steps and performance of his government.

He advised to wait for the constitution of Supreme Court Commission, adding that such a situation should not be created which may endanger the progress and prosperity of the country.
