QUETTA, Pakistan: The Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has said that 34 alleged militants including a top commander Mir Abdul Nabbi Bangulzai have been killed in security operation in Johan area of Kalat district.

Addressing a press conference along with spokesman for the provincial government Anwar Ul Haque Kakar in Quetta on Saturday, he said that security operation was underway in Johan area for last three days, during that around 34 alleged militants among them a top commander were killed.

Commander Abdul Nabbi Bangulzai was also among the militants who were killed in Johan security operation, he said.

He said that two personnel of security forces sustained injuries in the operation. He said that gold, cash and weapons were also recovered from the hideouts of the militants.

In reply to a question, he said that if militant commander, Dr. Allah Nazar is alive, then his organization should release his recent video. He, however, said that the security forces would continue their operation against those who challenge writ of the government.

In answering to another query, he said that inquiry was underway into incident of torturing doctors.
