PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Security Forces repulsed an attack on a check post in Mangaro area of Kurram agency on Thursday morning and killed 15 terrorists.

Sources said that a group of terrorists attacked the check post with heavy arms early Thursday; however, the security forces retaliated with immense effect and killed 15 terrorists. In addition, the security forces also left six terrorists injured and forced the rest to flee the area.

Meanwhile, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched search operation against the militants.

The intense fighting between the security forces and terrorists have become a routine matter now while according to claims by the former, the operation Zarb-e-Azb has caused huge losses to extremists and now they are hitting soft targets in utter desperation.

Policeman killed in Peshawar IED blast

Meanwhile, a policeman lost his life and a pedestrian received injuries in an improvised explosives device (IED) blast in Budhu Samar Bagh area of Peshawar on Thursday.

Police said that the IED was planted near a security check post.
