RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The newly appointed Commander Resolute Support Mission and United States Forces Afghanistan General John Nicholson on his maiden visit held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday.
In a press release, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during the meeting, matters of mutual interest and regional security with particular emphasis on coordination along Pak-Afghan border and reconciliation process in Afghanistan were discussed.
The Commander Resolute Support Mission and United States Forces – Afghanistan also appreciated successes of operation Zarb-e-Azb and efforts of Pakistan for regional security.
