ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Friday directed the Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to ensure foolproof security of Pakistan cricket team in India, in coordination with Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.

He said this in a meeting with the Interior Minister here who briefed the Prime Minister on security issues particularly the matter pertaining to security of Pakistan cricket team during its Indian visit expected this month to take part in T20 World Cup.

The Prime Minister directed the ministry to send a security team in advance to India to report on security measures there for taking the final decision in this regard.

The Prime Minister also sought report from Pakistan Cricket Board on poor performance of Pakistani cricket team in Asia Cup.
