Pakistan-India bus and trade services resume as tensions ease

SRINAGAR: Following the resumption of cross-border bus service between Pakistan and India, at least 138 passengers finally reached their respective destinations, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Monday. The bus service along with trade was suspended after LoC ceasefire violation by India earlier this month.

Brig (Retd) Ismael Khan, Director General Trade and Travel Authority, told Dispatch News Desk (DND) that the cross-border bus service and trade between both the neighbouring countries had been restored with an ease in the tensions started after Indian forces repeated violation of ceasefire agreement across Line of Control (LoC).

“The trade and travel would continue if the conditions remained favorable”, he said.
