PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Capital City Police during search operations conducted in different areas of the city during last three days and arrested 82 suspects, including 11 proclaimed offenders (POs) and 71 Afghan refugees.

According to a police official, the search operation was carried out in Cantt rural and city circles. Five Kalashnikovs, 24 pistols, four guns, seven rifles, thousands of rounds and nine kilogram hashish were recovered from the arrested suspects.

Cases were registered against owners and principals of 20 public and private schools for not taking proper security measures.
