ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred nine Kashmiris during the last month of January.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, on Monday, four of those martyred were killed in fake encounters and in custody. These killings rendered two women widowed and five children orphaned.

During the month, 106 people were critically injured when Indian police and paramilitary personnel used brute force and fired pallets and teargas shells against peaceful demonstrators in the occupied territory while 286 civilians, mostly youth, were arrested.

The troops also molested 2 women and destroyed 4 residential houses while one person is missing during the period.
