ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that Pakistan would extend all possible help to neighbouring countries against terrorism.

“We will fully cooperate with our neighbours against terrorism,” Sharif said while talking to the Maldives Foreign Minister Dunya Mamoun who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday and discussed matters regarding mutual interest.

The prime minister said that the anti-terror military operation Zarb-e-Azb has been progressing successfully since its launch.

Sharif said that Pakistan and Maldives need to benefit from the opportunities available for promotion of bilateral trade. He said that the two countries should also work to promote tourism.

In her remarks, the Maldives Foreign Minister said that her country is thankful for Pakistan’s cooperation in various fields.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Foreign Minister of Maldives Dunya Maumoon reached Islamabad on a three-day official visit to Pakistan during which she would hold meetings with Pakistani leadership to review different aspects of bilateral relations.

The Maldivian foreign minister along with her entourage also visited Lok Virsa Pakistan Monument Museum at Shakarparian in Islamabad after her arrival.

Dunya Maumoon will also call on Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and the Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi.
