LAHORE, Pakistan: The World Bank is keen to further enhance cooperation with Pakistan in different sectors, the bank’s Country Director Patchamuthu lllango said.
In a meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore on Monday, the World Bank’s Country Director in Pakistan discussed matters of mutual interest, ways to boost cooperation in education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and other sectors.
In his remarks on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that different development projects are in progress with the World Bank’s cooperation.
Shahbaz Sharif said that modern technical and vocational training has been provided to the youth according to market demand.
Meanwhile, the Federal Railways Minster Khawaja Saad Rafique also called on the Punjab Chief Minister in Lahore and held a discussion on political issues and matters pertaining to power projects.
On the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif reaffirmed commitment to overcome electricity load shedding by 2018.
The Chief Minister said that all resources including gas, coal, solar and wind are being utilized to complete various power generation projects.
Shahbaz said that the government is determined under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to complete energy projects.
