ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Spokesperson to Prime Minister, Dr. Musadik Malik, has said, Pakistan has always supported peace in the region and has been fighting a war against terrorism in order to wipe it out from the region.
Speaking in Radio Pakistan’s Current Affairs’ program, he said, “We are expecting a positive attitude from Indian side after the Pathankot incident.
Pakistan has no involvement in this terror attack, he said, adding, Prime Minister also contacted Indian PM Narendra Modi and expressed sympathies over the incident.
Pakistan, he said was ready to cooperate with India in investigation of Pathankot incident. Present government was focusing on to improve its relations with Afghanistan, as, he maintained, Pakistan has always supported peace in the region. Pakistan, he said was badly affected by the menace of terrorism and, was engaged in a war against terrorism in order to wipe it out from the region.
“International community has also appreciated Pakistan’s efforts and sacrifices in war against terrorism,” he observed.
Referring to Pathankot incident in India he said, similar incidents were also observed in Pakistan.
“Our soldiers also sacrificed their lives in terror attack on Mehran Air Base in Badaber; similarly, innocent children were also martyred in a coward terror attack on APS, Peshawar, he maintained.
