ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold its first ever three-day Art and Photography show from January 6 at its FM Radio Building Lobby to celebrate and showcase the best photography and art work of AIOU Artists.

The show is aimed at promoting art and creativity among academics and youth, said a news release issued here on Monday.

AIOU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui and Professor Dr. Murtaza Jafri, Principal, National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore will inaugurate the exhibition on January 6 at 3:30 pm.

The institutions relevant to art and design will also participate.

Dr. Shahid Siddqui said they are in negotiation with the National College of the Arts for its cooperation to start Fine arts’ classes.

This, he added will add diversity to their existing academic programs, making the AIOU a true learning multifaceted organization.

“We are actively engaged in bringing about qualitative improvement in academic, administrative and financial matters, while consolidating what has already been achieved”, he added.
