ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) held a three-day employees on-campus training workshop in order to enhance their professional skills.

It also aimed at enabling employees to provide best services to the students and to help improving quality education.

This was the third phase of the training program, being attended by the non-faculty staff.

Inaugurating the workshop, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui said that they have attached high importance to the professional training of their employees to achieve the stipulated targets in the education sector.

It was being ensured through such training series that the employees should be well-versed with the administrative and financial matters and handling of students-related matters.

Dr Shahid Siddiqui said that the training program which is being funded by HEC will be made viable and productive for strengthening students support system.

The AIOU, he added has laid special focus on good governance and transparency in running its administrative affairs. Earlier focal person of the program Muhammad Hammad Tariq highlighted the special features of the three-day training program.
