Middle EastDeadly weapons being used against Palestinians by Israel; report reveals

Armless Palestinian protesters are being hit with lethal weapons in the West Bank by the Israeli forces, a report by B’Tselem, Israeli human rights group, unveiled on Monday, Dispatch News Desk reported (DND).

The report containing 31 pages, said that fifty-six people, having an average age of 18, lost their lives in the clashes.

B’Tselem accused that Israeli security forces have “extensively and systematically violated” rules that ban deadly response to a non-lethal assault.

The organization has been working on the report, ‘Crowd Control: Israel’s use of Crowd Control Weapons in the West Bank’ for the past year. Only in the past fortnight, the Israeli military shot dead two Palestinians in the clashes.

According to B’Tselem, eight people have been killed since 2005 by two allegedly non-lethal weapons including rubber-coated metal bullets and teargas canisters, which were fired directly at protesters.
