PakistanPakistan embassies issued 82,172 visas in five years, Senate informed

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Embassies in China, South Korea, UAE, Uzbekistan and Sudan have issued 82,172 visas to foreigners during the last five years, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Thursday.

In a written reply to the Senate, the Ministry informed that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was maintaining the record of foreigners’ departure and arrival in the country.

To another question, it was informed that visas were issued to foreigners according to the prescribed procedure laid down in the Visa and Passport Manuel, 2006 and revised instructions were issued by the concerned quarters from time to time.

During the last five years, the ministry said, no case of visa procedure violation had been reported in China, South Korea, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Sudan.
