ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has condemned the house detention of its party Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and termed it frustration of the authorities.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, the JKLF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the phenomenon of arrests and house arrests were glaring example of anti-democratic behavior of the authorities, according to Kashmir Media Service.

Meanwhile, the JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, while strongly condemning the imposition of curfew and other restrictions every now and then, in a statement said, “Stopping people from participating in congregational prayers of martyr Gowhar Nazir Dar was the worst kind of oppression.

On the other hand, the JKLF UK/Europe zone and Diplomatic Front is organizing various protest programmes in London on the arrival of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in UK.

“These programs will be organized to raise voices against denying people of Kashmir their right to self-determination against gross human rights violations in the territory.

According to the chalked out programme, on Friday Kashmiris under the banner of JKLF will gather at historical London ground (Wembly stadium) and will hold a peaceful protest rally.

It is to be mentioned that the JKLF Diplomatic Front chief, Professor Zafar Khan has already submitted an open letter from JKLF to the United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameroon.

In his letter Zaffar Khan said that the letter was to remind the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on the unabated oppression and violations of basic human rights in Kashmir, including the denial of right to assembly and free speech.
