LAHORE, Pakistan: At least eight people were killed while 569 others sustained injuries in 723 accidents in Punjab during last 24 hours.

According to Rescue 1122, about 723 road accidents were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell in Rescue 1122 during last 24 hours in which eight people were killed and 569 seriously injured who were shifted to various hospitals by the PES.

The statistics show that 146 accidents were reported in city which affected 153 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 65 accidents in Faisalabad with 73 victims and Multan remained at third with 48 accidents and 59 victims.

As many as 594 motorcycles, 105 rickshaws, 94 cars, 30 vans, six buses, 24 trucks and 80 other vehicles and slow moving carts were involved in these accidents.
