MULTAN, Pakistan: Multan Metro Bus Project Chief Engineer Sabir Khan Saduzai said 60 buses would be plied initially at Metro Bus route which would be enhanced to 120 with a passage of time.

He was addressing a ceremony of Crescent Lions Club here on Wednesday.

   

The chief engineer said a lift would be installed at each station to facilitate old, blind and handicapped people.

The project was launched in the city after thorough survey which was being completed with Rs 28.56 billions, Sabir said and added that Rs 4.25 billions were spent on acquisition of land while Rs 24.31 billions on construction of 18km track.

He said Express buses would also be plied at the route for students and others who wanted to cover more distance within shortest span of time.

There would be controlled cooling system and internal temperature of metro buses station would be 9 degrees centigrade than outer atmosphere during the Summer, he added.
