Foreign Office437 delegates attended OIC Extraordinary Session in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that around 437 delegates attended the 17th Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of the Foreign Ministers held in Islamabad on December 19 and we succeeded in establishing a Humanitarian Trust Fund for Afghanistan.

In a statement on Monday, the minister said that the participation of 20 Foreign Ministers and 10 Deputy Foreign Ministers in the OIC Extraordinary Meeting is a great achievement for Pakistan.

   

The foreign minister thanked all departments including National Assembly, Senate Secretariats, Pakistan Military, and people linked with the Foreign Office for successfully conducting the OIC Moot. He also thanked the local and foreign media who reported the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that in the Conference, we also introduced a resolution to revive Afghanistan’s banking system which is a great development.

The foreign minister said that from a public perspective, the United States should reconsider its decision regarding Afghanistan.
