LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab government on Tuesday accorded approval to reserve 32% employment quota for youngsters from South Punjab in all provincial government jobs.

The approval was given in the 51st meeting of the Punjab Cabinet held on Lahore with the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in the Chair.

In the meeting, the Committee was directed to make recommendations for allocating quota in jobs for other backward districts of Punjab.

The Cabinet also approved to amend the West Pakistan Rules under the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance, 1961.



Besides, the Cabinet also approved amendments in the Punjab Regularization of Service Act 2018 and in Rules & Regulations to make contract employees of some departments permanent.

Likewise, the meeting also approved the Punjab Road Safety Authority Act 2020 as well as the Birth Control Policy for stray dogs in the light of Court orders
