30 militants including key commander killed in North Waziristan airstrikes

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: At least 30 militants including a key Taliban commander Daud Matta were killed when Pakistan’s military fighter jets bombed militants hideouts in the North Waziristan tribal region, media citing sources reported on Tuesday.

The sources said that the militant casualties occurred when four militant hideouts were targeted in airstrikes in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan.

The airstrikes were part of the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb which waslaunched in the tribal areas on June 15 against the militants.
