ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday that 30,000 to 40,000 people cannot bring any revolution and steal the mandate of those who secured millions of votes in the polls.

In his address at a ceremony of handing over privileges and honor cards to the top taxpayers in Islamabad on Tuesday, the prime minister categorically stated that nobody will be allowed to impede the process of progress and development in the country.

The prime minister said that it is time to engage in constructive politics. He asked his opponents to become part of the development agenda of the government as the country cannot afford negative politics at this juncture.

Sharif pointed out the country is faced with multiple challenges including energy crisis, terrorism, poverty and illiteracy which can only be overcome through solidarity and unity.
