ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred while eight terrorists were killed in exchange of fire in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal region on Friday, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a press release, the ISPR said that terrorists from across the Pakistan-Afghan border attempted physical attack on FC Check Post in Khyber agency.

   

The ISPR said that Pakistani troops effectively responded and killed six terrorists. However, in the exchange of fire with terrorists two FC soldiers embraced Shahadat.

Later, Namaz-e- Janaza of Shaheed N/Sub Saeed khan and Shaheed L/NK Jehanzab who embraced Shahadat in exchange of fire with terrorists in Khyber agency was offered at Corps Headquarters in Peshawar .

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Inspector General FC Major General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood and other Civil and military officials attended.

Jasde Khakis will be taken to their native areas where they wil be burried with full military honour.

In a separate incident, the FC personnel foiled suicide Bombers bid to attack FC Training Center at Shabqadar area of Charsadda.

The ISPR said that the FC personnel killed two suicide bombers. However, one Frontier Constabulary Soldier embraced Shahadat and one was injured. The Operation was still in progress, according to the ISPR.
