ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar has said that second round of talks with the federal government will be held on Sunday, hoping that the talks will be constructive and result-oriented.

In an interview with APP in Islamabad on Saturday, the PTI leader said that both sides have decided not to make the details of talks public.

The PTI leader said that the federal minister for planning and development Ahsan Iqbal and the attorney general of Pakistan Salman Aslam Butt will represent the government side while the PTI’s team comprised himself and a senior party lawyer.

Asad Umar said that the attorney general would participate in the talks through Skype as he is abroad.

Moreover, he said that the dialogue process has been resumed from the point where it was halted in September.

In reply to a question, the PTI leader said that no time frame has been set for the duration of talks but both the sides are committed to an early solution of the political crisis.

The first round of talks between the government and the PTI was held on Thursday at which Ahsan Iqbal represented the government side while Asad Umar participated from the PTI.

Later in a statement, the federal minister said that progress was made in the dialogue process which aimed at resolving the current political impasse.
