In Balochistan, at least 28 people including women and children were killed and 22 others injured when a passenger bus overturned and fell into a deep ravine in Washuk District on Wednesday.

The Levies Officials said that the accident occurred when a tire of the over-speeding bus burst, as a result, the bus plunged into a ravine.

They told that women and children were also among the deceased whose dead bodies and the injured were shifted to the Basima Civil Hospital where some of the injured were reportedly to be in critical condition.

The Levies Officials further said that the bus was travelling from Gwadar to Quetta.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed deep regret and sorrow over the loss of human lives. He also expressed his condolences to the families of those who died in the accident.

The Balochistan Chief Minister directed that the best medical facilities be provided to the injured, and prayed for their speedy recovery.
