Pakistan20 percent increase in Parliament House allowance approved

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Assembly Finance Committee in Parliament House on Friday approved 20 per cent enhancement of rate of Parliament House allowance admissible to the staff of National Assembly Secretariat.

The meeting of the Committee chaired by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq approved the minutes of its meeting held on June 25, 2015.

   

The Committee discussed the pace of automation/digitalization of the record of the National Assembly Secretariat and establishment of e-office and expressed its satisfaction.

The Committee was apprised that touch screens would be installed in the House and the committee rooms for Members of the National Assembly for facilitating them in discharge of their legislative functions and this would substantially reduce the expenditure on stationery and printing.

The Members appreciated the prudent stewardship of Speaker National Assembly in maintaining austerity in the expenditures of the Secretariat.

They also praised the Speaker’s initiatives for human resource development and surrendering his powers of recruitment in the Secretariat.

MNAs Ch. Arghman Subhani, Raja Muhammad Javed Ikhlas, Malik Eitibar Khan, Mian Abdul Manan, Shaista Pervaiz, Ms.Munaza Hasan, Iqbal Muhammad Ali Khan, Secretary National Assembly, Secretary Ministry of Finance and other senior officials of the National Assembly Secretariat and Ministry of Finance attended the meeting.
