PESHAWAR: A remote-controlled bomb went off in a house in Tirah Valley area of troubled Khyber tribal region on Monday, killing at least 9 persons including three children and injuring several others.

The sources said that the blast occurred in a guest house near a mosque in Pirano Kale of Bara Akakhel area of Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency.

The emergency and rescue teams reached the site of the blast and began efforts to shift the victims to the nearby hospital, while security forces cordoned off the area as investigations began over the incident.
