QUETTA: Unknown militants have shot dead 13 passengers kidnapped from Punjab-bound buses in Balochistan’s Bolan district.

Officials said miscreants had kidnapped 22 passengers last night from five buses going to Rajanpur from Quetta. They said bodies of 13 abducted passengers were found Tuesday morning.

The incident took place near Mach town of Balochistan’s Bolan district.

According to details, militants stopped seven passenger buses in district Bolan and allowed two Sindh-bound buses to go. CNIC’s of the passengers were checked before abduction.

Assistant commissioner Mach said that nine of the victims have been identified. They are hailing from Sadiqabad, Rajanpur and other towns of Punjab.

Search for nine missing passengers was underway.
