Shrines of Sufis along with Shiite mosques and Orthodox churches have been erased to ground by Islamic State fighters in Nineveh. Next possible target for erasing buildings is Karbala.
Nothing left behind that can tell you this is Nineveh, a cradle of civilisations and land of mystic world, claim one blogger who posted photos of important historic as well as religious buildings that have been erased. Next target of fighters for erasing can be Karbala as indicated by ISIS followers on twitter
Pictures posted on the Internet by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) showed the Sunni and Sufi shrines were demolished by bulldozers, while the Shiite mosques and shrines were all destroyed by explosives.
