Lahore: Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif offered resignation if found guilty in Judaical inquiry regarding killing of 8 PAT workers by Lahore Police. He said he has never used force against any rival and it was shocking for him to see police was brutally trashing protesters with their beards. Calling the incident Barbaric and terrible, Chief Minister Punjab said he would not spare anybody whosoever is responsible for killing innocent people. “I will not influence the registration of FIRs, they can even be registered against me,”  Shahbaz said.

Addressing a press conference here in Lahore after gruesome incident of murder of 8 workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) protesting outside the residence of the PAT leader Dr Tahirul Qadri in Lahore on Tuesday, Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz sharif said that he was shocked to know how protesters were handled by police and how police used so much force for just removing barriers outside the residence of Dr Tahirul Qadri in Lahore’s Model Town area. He said this was terrible that protesters were killed, manhandled and arrested by police. He has ordered a judicial inquiry into the Lahore police action against PAT workers. He said judicial commission will do inquiry on daily bases. 

“I can not imagine police is trashing protesters from their beards. This is horrible. This is horrible that women and people killed without reason. I shall never spare who are responsible for this unprecedented torture and killing of people”, Shahbaz said.

Mian Shahbaz Sharif reached Press conference with a grim mood and a chocking voice. There is no evidence during his long tenure for victimization of opponent of used of police force against political workers. Looked shocked and broken, Shahbaz demanded forgiveness from the families of those who were killed outside Dr. Qadri house in Model Town.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
