The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has included left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar as replacement of Yasir Shah. Though Yasir Shah has not yet been ruled out of the first Test match, and a final decision on fielding him or not shall be taken before the match begins on Tuesday. Pakistan’s ODI team Captain Azhar Ali also won’t be available for the first Test due to an injury. But injuries are not only Pakistan’s problem. England fast bowler Steven Finn has also been ruled out of the first Test against Pakistan with a bone stress injury to his left foot.

On the other hand, Pakistani middle-order batsman Younis Khan needs only 19 runs to break the record of Javed Miandad who scored 8832 runs, most runs to have been made by any Pakistani batsman in Tests. Both the teams will play the second Test from October 22 to 29 at Dubai and the third Test from November 1 to 5 at Sharjah.
