ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Railways (PR) has decided to operate Margalla Express train from Rawalpindi to Lahore on daily basis from June 5.
“Before that decision of the Pakistan Railways the Margalla Express was plying for three days a week,” an official in the Ministry of Railways told the state-run news agency on Wednesday.
He said that PR has changed the timings of Margalla Express which will now simultaneously depart and arrive from Lahore-Rawalpindi at 5:30 am and 10:10 am respectively.
PR has also changed the timings of Rawal Express which will now simultaneously depart and arrive from Lahore-Rawalpindi at 12:30 pm and 4:30 am respectively, he added.
The official said that PR has allowed two minutes stoppage to Millat Express which run from Faisalabad-Karachi and Iqbal Express from Sialkot-Karachi at Pid Eddan Railway Station.
He said the stoppage will be temporary to facilitate the passengers till June 26.
