Kiev:  Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down by a surface-to-air missile over Eastern Ukraine. Ukraine government accused Eastern Ukrainian separates to shot down the flight while separatists rejected blame and said they do not have capacity to shot down a plane flying at high altitude of 33,000 feet above sea level as MH17 was flying before it lost contact with control towers.

Today was 17th birthday of this aircraft as it had its first flight on July 17, 1997. Malaysian Flight MH17 was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, reports Ukrainian media. While Russia media blames Kiev government and Ukrainian forces behind this tragic incident. Flight was around 12000 metre above sea level when it was feared to hit from ground. Number 17 was mysterious for this aircraft as its number was MH17—had first flight on July 17—crashed on July 17.

Malaysian Airlines MH17  was carrying 285 passengers and 15 crew members onboard. MH17 crashed or shot down in Torez city of Donetsk region. There are reports that MH17 is downed by Donetsk People’s Republic terrorists. Boeing 777-200 registration# 9M-MRD  reportedly shot down by a surface-to-air missile over eastern Ukraine by Eastern Ukrainian separates who got such missile allegedly from Russia.

According to Malaysian Airlines data and advisory MH17 had its first flight on 17 July 1997:

A Boeing 777-200 passenger plane, operating Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, is reported to have crashed in the Ukraine. The Ukraine Interior Ministry Adviser stated that the airplane was shot down over the Donetsk region. Flight MH17 departed Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport, the Netherlands at 12:14, bound for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 Malaysian Flight 17 was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. Eye witness said:

“We heard a sound and then black smoke appeared in the sky”.  Dozens of bodies were scattered on ground, on roof tops and everywhere in the area. Smell of burning human bodies is in air.

Kiev television claimed that:

Washington said that according to the NSA satellites, the Pentagon and the CIA, the launch was carried out from the territory of the Russian Federation

Malaysia Airlines lost contact of MH17 from Amsterdam. 

Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Barack Obama have discussed the Malaysia Airlines plane incident over eastern Ukraine.

 “the Russian leader informed the U.S. president of the report from air traffic controllers that the Malaysian plane had crashed on Ukrainian territory, which had arrived immediately before the phone call.”
