Five including student injured in hand grenade blasts in KPK

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Five persons including a student were injured in two separate hand grenade blasts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday.

In the first incident, unknown assailants hurled a hand grenade at a house in Shabqadar tehsil of Khyber Pakhtankhwa’s Nowshera district on Monday.

Resultantly, four persons sustained injuries who were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

In another incident, a student was injured when a hand grenade exploded at a government school gate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district on Monday.

The police said that a student of nine class in government school number one in Bannu brought a hand grenade in his bag which exploded at the school main gate.

The police took the student into the custody and started interrogating him at the city police station.

The student was also being provided medical treatment.
